Christian Müller, is an architect based in Soluthurn, Switzerland. Christian worked with Fritz Haller (1924-2013) the celebrated Swiss architect and creator of the iconic USM furniture system. Müller will discuss the ideas and inspirations of Haller’s work as well as specifically describe and illustrate the three construction systems that Haller invented (Mini, Midi and Maxi). Through a catalogue of elegant and wonderfully assembled projects that include houses, schools and factories (all in Switzerland), Müller will showcase the work of an architect who was admired by both Mies van der Rohe and Norman Foster, but whose work still remains largely unknown outside of his native Switzerland.

The lecture is supported by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia.
